2024 Preseason
Power Rankings
codycast (codycast) [0-0]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 1
"After what has to be the quickest rebuild on the Fly, Team CodyCast is coming into the season as my number one ranked team. Burrow is stacked with weapons up and down the lineup. Wilson, Deebo, Andrews, Gibbs. The biggest question mark on this starting roster is can Mostert still put up an RB1 season with Achane getting more work or was last year a fluke? I think Mostert will be just fine and CodyCast looks to go deep into the playoffs this year."
Slattery's Ranking: 3
"While Codycast's roster lacks true superstar players (not counting Gibbs), the core is just so solid. If every single one of this team's good-to-great, but not elite, players plays to their potential, this team will be hard to beat on a weekly basis.
I give Codycast an 80% chance to make the playoffs."
scumdogs (grrouchie) [0-0]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 4
"By hook or by crook is the Scumdogs motto. Our defending champions come into the season ranked #4 overall because last year they literally had to buy their way into the championship game! Lamar and Kyler should help to carry them into the playoffs and Record Setting Rookie Puka (the Puke Nuke) Nacua is looking to pick up where he left off.
Can Jonathan Taylor see the endzone with AR stealing carries? Is Breece Hall a true bell cow or will everything be more balanced with ARod back to health? Can Justin Jefferson still dominate when Sam Darnold is throwing him the ball?
After that, the Scumdogs are relying on Old man Mixon, Old man Connor and a guy with no work ethic (who they over paid for while trying to buy that championship opportunity)."
Slattery's Ranking: 1
"The reigning champ has arguably the strongest starting roster in the whole league with the safest floor. Even at his weakest position, TE, grrouchie has a monster of a prospect in Brock Bowers waiting to be called up from the taxi squad.
The Scumdogs are a near lock for a playoff spot with a 99% chance to get in, and are probably the favorite to get one of the two byes."
Get Out (Pads) [0-0]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 3
"Pads is running purely on Old Man Strength trying to get that championship before his team retires on him. Coming in at #3 with a 5k QB, Etienne and Kincaid rounding out his young players, Pads will be relying on the back of Old, but proven, vets who have historically gotten the job done. CMC defies all odds by continuing to be the #1 RB even while using a walker. Adams, Kupp and Cooper are going to have to continue to defy the odds if Pads wants that championship run and those 3 are the reason why they are currently ranked #3 for me."
Slattery's Ranking: 2
"This team is built to win, and built to win NOW. Get Out has such a safe floor that it would seem impossible for this team to not put up massive points all season long. Expect this team to lead the league in highest weekly scores.
Get Out should be feeling good about the season to come, they have a 95% chance to make the playoffs."
Fuzzy Logic (Slattery) [0-0]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 2
"It was hard to not rank Fuzzy #1 with Mahomes/Kelce and Hill being a threat to win every single game by themselves. Jacobs and Jones both on new teams but look to keep going strong. But I had too many questions about the Flex spots with Edwards and Hopkins and even Scary Terry. Can this trio live up to the hype or will they be letting the team down? #2 still isn't bad unless you're referring to Number 2, but that's potty humor and we won't have that here."
Slattery's Ranking: 5
"I'm trying to take my bias out when evaluating my own team, but it's hard not to think that Fuzzy Logic might have the highest potential of all the starting rosters in the league. The problem is going to be getting all the pieces to produce at the same time as the floor is incredibly low for this team.
Fuzzy Logic probably has a 60% chance to make the playoffs, but don't be surprised if this team implodes on itself during the push for the postseason."
Delta Squad (OneTyrell) [0-0]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 7
"I don't want to count this team out as it could end up being the most explosive team in the league. Love showed big game last year, Barkley could eat up the scores behind a healthy line. Amon Ra and MHJ could both be top 5 WRs and Pitts is looking for a break out year now that he is healthy and has a real QB.
Pollard and Najee are what is holding this team down right now, and running a second TE in your flex is never something to get excited about."
Slattery's Ranking: 4
"Holy RBs, Batman, Delta Squad has one heck of a squad of running backs. There should be more than enough fire power here to really make a splash during the season. OneTyrell's season will all depend on if players like Pitts and Barkley can live up to their potential and not crash and burn in their new offenses.
I give Delta Squad a 70% chance of making the playoffs."
Michael Scott's Tots (BaileyOwen) [0-0]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 6
"I'm torn putting the Tater Tots at #6. On one hand they have a QB who can win games with a super young and elite TE in McBride and a game changer in Dell (if he stays healthy).
However, his RBs are sketchy with AK and Javonte, an unproven JSN and Pickens who are both looking to take a step forward and Aiyuk who was super efficient last year. This team will either make noise and push for a championship or fizzle out like a bad fart and stink up the joint. Tasty Tots or burnt taters?"
Slattery's Ranking: 6
"Talk about a young and up-and-coming core group of players. Outside of Kamara, every single starting player for Michael Scott's Tots should be in their prime or just entering their prime, which is exactly where BaileyOwen wants to be.
I'm giving Michael Scott's Tots a 50% chance of making the playoffs."
ShivaBlasts (jwv7244) [0-0]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 5
"The new powerhouse, the surprise team of the season, SHIVA comes in ranked at #5 and looking to prove a point. On the back of CJ Stroud, CeeDee Lamb and Derrick Henry, this team is a dark horse to win it all.
There is talent at every position except for Tight End and it will come down to weather or not Worthy is worthy, Flowers is going to take a step forward and Addison being the #2 WR on a team with a really really really awful QB....
This team is going to make some noise and is going to be my favorite team to watch this year."
Slattery's Ranking: 8
"There is so much young potential on ShivaBlasts's roster, but ultimately I believe they are one good draft away from truly contending. Still, this team should make some noise this year, and may just even sneak into the playoffs at the five or six seed.
I give ShivaBlasts a 40% chance of making the playoffs."
NotGreatBob (NotGreatBob) [0-0]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 10
"It's hard to ever count out NGB after the way they brilliantly finessed Chase off of the scumdogs (I'm never going to get over it) and won a championship. This roster has a TON of talent all waiting to develop and take over. Daniels could be the next big QB and has #1 upside. Achane has #1 upside. Chase has #1 upside. But, can the teams "other" talent keep it together for their elite guys to make a real difference? Diggs? Evans? Allen? Are they too old or do they have one more run left? Can Olave step up and will the team field a TE this year?"
Slattery's Ranking: 7
"On paper, NotGreatBob has an excellent starting roster outside of tight end, but I worry a big chunk of Bob's team might have finally aged out. This could be the last hurrah for Bob's core before a rebuild should be considered.
I'm giving NotGreatBob a 45% chance to make the playoffs."
ScotchnWhiskers (ScotchnWhiskers) [0-0]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 8
"With Whiskey and Peanut Butter ranked 8th, you can see how competitive the league is. Hurts and Williams, AJ and DK and a promising (after a 4 game sample) White look like they could all take games over based on last year.
But, there is some sketchiness with Goedert, Hollywood, Chase Brown and Singletary.
This team could make some noise, but unless at least 2 of those guys step up I think they will just be playing the roll of spoiler for a few teams."
Slattery's Ranking: 9
"ScotchnWhiskers have a lot going for them with a power stack in Hurts/Brown, a monster WR in Metcalf, and a STUD in Kyren Williams, but the rest of the starting roster leaves a lot to be desired. Still, that should be more than enough to push for a playoff spot and potentially even more.
I give ScotchnWhiskers a 40% chance to make the playoffs."
Dirty Mike & The Boys (HartyPGA) [0-0]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 9
"Dirty Mike has some TOP of the line talent, some Could Be the next Big Thing talent and some, maybe you'll get back to form talent which all leads to a #9 ranking.
AR, Bijan and Laporta all SCREAM VICTORY.
London, Collins and Godwin all have something to prove.
Shakir and Thomas are hopeful but feel like let downs.
And JK (as in Just Kidding) Dobbins doesn't have a leg to stand on and will cost this team more games than he will help win."
Slattery's Ranking: 10
"Dirty Mike's Boys are definitely solid and should be able to push for a playoff spot, but there is a lot riding on a few high risk players: Can JK Two Legs play a season without getting hurt? Will Nick Chubb be the Nick Chubb of old when he comes back? Is Anthony Richardson good at football? Can Kirk Cousins help Drake London reach his potential?
I'm going to give Dirty Mike & The Boys a 30% chance to make the playoffs."
PRESTIGE WORLDWIDE (lwinman) [0-0]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 11
"When you start with Dak, Rice, Engram, Waddle and Moore you should be feeling good about life. However, you also sprinkle in Allgeier, Wilson, Hamstring and JaMo and you feel deflated.
This team will have to find a way to turn the corner with their 2ndary players in order to get into competition mode and they can do that in 2026....when they have extra picks in almost every round.
Or, they can use that DC to trade into contention."
Slattery's Ranking: 11
"The downfall of Prestige Worldwide will be their RBs. Even with solid options at literally every other roster spot, it's going to be very difficult for this team to do anything without a single starting RB on their roster. If lwinman makes a few moves for some starting RBs, their season outlook would look completely different.
I'll give Prestige Worldwide a 20% chance to make the playoffs given their current roster, but that could increase dramatically if a few midseason moves are made."
1-Putt Nine (GhostDad77) [0-0]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 12
"Being ranked last will hopefully light a fire under the 1 putters arses. Goff plays mostly in a dome this year and could surprise people. Pacheco is low key going to be a top 7 RB.
This bench has a lot of potential future studs waiting to make a playoff push next year in Vidal, Herbert, Malik (the next Tyreek) Washington, Polk, Burton, Baker and Ali. Not to mention Brooks who should be a stud before the year is over.
This roster is a perfect rebuild with lots of young talent all trying to find their way and hopefully developing at the same time so that next year this is a top 6 team.
This year - Gabe Davis, Samuel, Pierce and Dortch just aren't going to cut anything more than mustard."
Slattery's Ranking: 12
"Unfortunately, 1-Putt Nine looks like they are in the middle of the dreaded multi-year rebuild. Outside of Pacheco and some solid QB options, there is very little on this roster to give hope for success this season. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if 1-Putt has a few upsets throughout the season, especially towards October/November once Jonathan Brooks is able to get back on the field.
I give 1-Putt Nine a 5% chance of making the playoffs."
