2023 Week 3 Rankings
NotGreatBob (NotGreatBob) [3-0]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 1
"Sideshow Bob stays at the top of the rankings until someone dethrones him. Sure Carr didn't finish the game, sure BRob wasn't exciting. None of that matters. NGB finds a way to get things done and that way this week was Zach Moss (yeah, you know your team is good when random washed up JAGs produce at great levels for you) Chase and Allen.
Next week? Mac Jones with a 30 point performance! NGB keeps finding ways to win.
Not Great Bob didn't even need the 49 points from Achane that he left on the bench. How is that for scary?"
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 1
"All hail the current king. NotGreatBob is the only undefeated team left in a highly competitive league that features 7 1-2 teams tied at the bottom. It’s fun when multiple players go off in the same week. Keenan Allen put up a monster game and Chase remembered what being a number 1 was like. Moss had a gem and Evans pulled down another TD for a good week. Oh yeah, NGB won by 50 and Achane had his 50 points on the bench. "
PRESTIGE WORLDWIDE (lwinman) [2-1]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 2
"Prestige came to play with Mostert surprise dropping 41 points on Codycast who tried to make it a game but came up way short!! Deebo dropped 22 points and Mike, ACL, Williams put up the last 21 points of the season for him. Only Ridley came up empty with a team low 5.5 points this week as everyone else was over 10. Prestige is looking mighty hard to beat"
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 2
"Back to back weeks of this squad having big boom games. Raheem the Dream with a huge outing that included 4 total TDs. Throw in Deebo’s Thursday night performance and Mike Williams had a great week before going down. It’s truly unfortunate that he can’t stay healthy, but he does seem to play (and fall) violently. The whole team had a good week except for the depressing Ridley outing. The Jags might have some problems to solve before these playmakers can truly produce."
Technical Difficulties (grrouchie) [2-1]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 3
"The Scumdogs are starting to gel which means it is time for a let down soon. Jackson finally showed up and put up 26 points. Jefferson did his usual and added 24 to his yearly total. James Connor went into Dallas and put up some good numbers as well. Conner is quietly having a great season and if he keeps it up could be the team MVP.
Even with Puka's worst game, Breece getting 13 touches for 2 points the Scumdogs are finding diamonds in the rough like Jerome Ford!
Next week they have a real challenge as they face the #4 Ranked Pads which show if they are contenders or pretenders"
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 4
"Scum Poopys were far from poop this week with a 30 point win. Lamar looked competent again and Jefferson is still a dominant force. Breece Hall was the only starter to put up a dud, and that might be concerning with back to back duds. Nacua was good but not great, and the clock is ticking for Kupp’s return. This is a fairly scary squad with some high end talent that can put up huge weeks. This team looks a lot better than they did to start the year. The Scum Poopys are just waiting for JT and Diontae to be healthy again."
Get Out (Pads) [2-1]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 4
"Tua, CMC and Etienne came to play and put up nearly as many points as their opponents, Dirty Mike and the Disappointment, did. I have Pads ranked at #4 and they play the #3 ranked Scumdogs this coming week. With a Victory Pads will continue to push their way back to the top of the heap where they resided all of last year. Pads is angry, well coached and looking for revenge as they feel NGB stole the championship they felt destined for last year."
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 3
"CMC had himself another 20 point week including another TD which just seems like an every week thing at this point. Tua and the Dolphins had a helluva week. Etienne saw a bit more action this week and was able to produce enough to help out. I’m scared for when Gibbs finally hits, but when will that be? It’s also looking like Joshua Palmer is going to see some more targets throughout the rest of the year with the injury to Mike Williams. Let’s see if Pads can take advantage of it."
Michael Scott's Tots (BaileyOwen) [2-1]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 5
"After a loss to 1-Putt I wanted to rank the Tots lower than this, but they are the last 2-1 team so they are getting a pass and will be sitting at #5 because of it. Josh Allen continues to shine and Kittle finally woke up and had a game. That is where the positivity ends.
Herbert stunk. Thomas looks like he's going to get 100 receptions and only 600 yards this year. Smith Struggled and Reynolds wrapped himself up a big ole zero.
Meanwhile they left Mims 15 points and Tank Dells 23 points on the bench. Maybe next week they can make better roster decisions and get back to their winning ways?"
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 6
"It’s never good when the team’s highest scoring non QB is on the taxi squad. I guess it’s time to call Tank Dell up to the active roster because the guy might have a connection with rookie QB Stroud. Josh Allen was good but the rest of the team was not good. I wanted to take the week off from the rankings just like my team took the week off, but I didn’t want to be fined. Kamara’s suspension is up so he will hopefully be bolstering this lineup. I am more than happy to take Khalil Herbert out of my lineup."
Fuzzy Logic (Slattery) [1-2]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 9
"Mommy make the bad man stop hurting me. Is Fuzzy pulling a Scumdogs and trying to trade themselves into victories but losing in the process (exactly like the dogs last year).
Josh Jacobs, acquired and stinking it up. Hopkins, Acquired and stanking.
Then there are the draft picks they maybe have been holding onto too long? Gibson, Parker and McLaurin all going Sub Par. Not even their bench could have saved them from this beating."
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 5
"Not a terrible performance from Fuzzy Logic, but definitely not the outcome they are looking for. Mahomes and Kelce are such a fun stack and then Tyreek is near unguardable. Is the panic alarm going off for Josh Jacobs yet? RB27 is not going to cut it from him. On the other hand, Antonio Gibson wishes he could be RB27. It has to be depressing to put him in the starting lineup at this point right?"
Delta Squad (OneTyrell) [1-2]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 6
"The Delta Squad performed a surgical strike on the Fuzzy Logic this past week as they sent the commish packing. Cousins and old man Adam were on fire. Pollard, Doubs and Cook all put up respectable numbers. Even with Harris and Elliot going under 10 each there was too much fire power for their opponents.
Weakness: Kyle Pitts with his BEST game of the season - 6.2 points.
Fix the TE position and maybe this team can be a true contender"
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 8
"Delta Squad picked up their first victory of the year with a fairly dominant performance. Kirk balled out in his typical non primetime fashion. The rest of the starters did their part to put together a big week. The ghost of Adam Thielen going 11 for 145 and 1 definitely helps the case. I would love to see it but I don’t think he’s got it in him. Let’s hope he still has some gas left in his tank though. I will say that it is not fun watching Najee run with the ball. "
codycast (codycast) [1-2]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 8
"It feels absolutely wrong to have CodyCast ranked so low, but I don't make the rules. I just look at what happened in the league and what is happening is that CC is having trouble getting things together. Sure they had more points in a loss than anyone else this week, but a loss is a loss. Burrow continues to struggle. Kelly touched the ball 12 times and somehow only got 2.2 points. Andrews and Higgins combined for under 10 points. Adams gave it his all and put up over 35 points but the rest of the team let him down.
Cody can still be a force this year, but another loss is going to be a tough hole to dig themselves out of with how competitive this league is this year."
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 7
"I wouldn’t be too upset over scoring 119 points in a week, but Codycast went up against this week’s juggernaut. Adams saw 20 targets and was able to pull down 13 with 2 TDs. Cooper was solid with 7 for 116 and a touchdown, but he should have had another one if it wasn’t for an errant whistle. The Burrow and Higgins stack was lackluster yet again although Joe threw the ball damn near 50 times and Higgins saw 8 of them. Who would have guessed that he should have started Parham over Andrews? "
1-Putt Nine (GhostDad77) [1-2]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 7
"Herbert out dueled Allen
Pierce and Pastichio destroyed the Tots starting RBs
Davis and Meyers out produced the Taters starting WRs. And even with a zero in their flex, they won the battle of the Flex position as well. The only place that they lost this past week was in the TE spot as Go-Eat-Dirt really didn't do anything with his 5 receptions.
1-Putt didn't even need their 1-wood to drive this victory home!"
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 12
"It looks like the closed door meeting by GhostDad worked out. The team went out and outperformed their expected production. Justin Herbert decided to put the team on his back and the rest of the guys did enough, except for you Isaiah Hodgins. 1-Putt Nine showed that they are capable of putting up a competitive performance even with a lack of high-end talent."
ShivaBlasts (jwv7244) [1-2]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 10
"I hate putting Shiva down this low as I absolutely love rooting for them this year. However, a loss to the Scumdogs even though they put up over 100 points sent them tumbling. Watson, tutu and Walker put up great games for the Blasts but the rest of the team let them down. Waller continues to struggle and not be the stud we thought he would be this year. White is having trouble getting things going and Lamb and Addison put up Twin 8.20's which is a big disappointment to what they should be doing. This team can still get things going and make a push for that last playoff spot if they can get on the same page and start getting a couple of W's"
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 11
"ShivaBlasts weren’t able to pull out a win with this mediocre performance. Watson and Walker were legit with big weeks. Tutu saw 9 targets but only caught 4, however he managed to haul in a TD to have a good performance. The rest of the team was lacking of production. CeeDee only had 4 receptions for 53 yards as the Cowboys couldn’t even beat the Cards. Addison had 6 catches, but unfortunately none were for a bomb touchdown like before. This squad definitely needs more from its stars and could definitely use more from the depth players."
ScotchnWhiskers (mark2law) [1-2]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 11
"When you run into a brick wall, the brick wall usually wins. Scotch ran into the (not) Great Wall of Bob this week and got bloodied. Starting RBs took the week off as Allgeier and Henry combined for under 6 points. Knox said, "hold my beer" and ended up under 2 points. Hurts to Brown was the lone bright spot on this Brick Wall kind of day"
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 10
"The AJ Brown and Hurts stack couldn’t muster up enough to help ScotchnWhiskers overcome the king NotGreatBob. Kyren was disappointing and Allgeier can’t get enough touches to be a valuable fantasy asset. 11 carries for 20 yards sounds like an AJ Dillon statline and not Derrick Henry. The panic meter is broken after this Henry performance. Zay Flowers looks like a real gem. Hopefully these running backs produce some more because these receivers, and Hurts, can only do so much."
Dirty Mike & The Boys (HartyPGA) [1-2]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 12
"There are some valuable lessons that The Boys taught Dirty Mike this week.
1 - You cannot rely on AJ Dillon. Quadzilla looks like he should be an elite producer, but he is a JAG.
2 - Do Not Start Non RB Falcons. Drake London putting up 4.4 points on 8 targets. PUKE.
3 - Trade LaPorta to the Scumdogs. Don't waste his talent. (wink wink, nudge nudge)
4 - Zach Ertz is old and unreliable.
5 - Godwin might be more talented, but Baker prefers Evans."
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 9
"Dirty Mike and The Boys put up a disappointing week with only 77 points. Purdy looked good in a 2 TD game and LaPorta is finally a good rookie TE for fantasy. However the rest of the team was just not good. Godwin, Collins, and London combined for 7 catches and all were held scoreless, resulting in poor performances. Dillon did his typical 11 for 33 on the ground with 0 TDs for a real big dud. Bijan only carried the ball 10 times and was also fairly disappointing. I hope that this is one of only a couple duds from Dirty Mike this year."
