2023 Week 2 Rankings
NotGreatBob (NotGreatBob) [2-0]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 1
"Undefeated? Check! Highest Score on the week? Check! BRob and the old man crew carried team to victory even though Chase, Hurst, Perine, and Carr put up duds? Check! NGB has a crew of players that are capable of blowing up every week and this weeks surprise was the other B. Rob putting up almost 28 points. Who is going to dethrone the defending champ?"
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 1
"Well, well, well, NotGreatBob missed the championship hangover memo and is off to a hot start to the season. NGB is just one of two 2-0 teams, but also features the highest scoring PF in the league. Brian Robinson looks better than his rookie year and is getting the workload to back it up. It must be nice to get 5 TDs out of 3 flex spots, but that will happen with high ceiling players like Allen, Evans, and Lockett. Oh yeah and just wait for the dam to break with Ja’Marr Chase only having 12 points combined this year. NGB looks poised to go on another championship run this year with an extremely deep team with some high-end talent."
lwinmin's Ranking: 1
"He's 2-0 and he has the highest PF in the league. No more sleeping on Bob. Jamar Chase hasn't even played a game yet and he is leading the league in scoring. Once Burrow throws Chase the ball this team is going to explode with points."
Michael Scott's Tots (BaileyOwen) [2-0]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 2
"The Taters are the only other undefeated team and that is why they sit at the #2 spot. Josh Allen was stellar, Smith was a beast, Pickens had one hell of a catch and run as did Wilson who put up great points on 2 catches. The talent is there for this team to stay near the top all year long."
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 2
"Scott’s Tots rattle off another win and start the season 2-0. It’s looking like a return of the Josh’s with Allen having himself a great week and Reynolds had 2 TDs on the bench. 13 targets in 2 weeks says that Josh Reynolds is Goff’s 2nd option in Detroit. It might be hard to crack this Tot’s lineup that features Aiyuk, DeVonte Smith, Michael Thomas, Pickens, and Garrett Wilson. It was Aiyuk in week 1 and then Smith and Pickens in week 2, hopefully these young receivers keep producing. Alvin Kamara is only a week away from bolstering this lineup. JSN, Mingo, and Mims await in the depths as well. This could be a real exciting year for Michael Scott’s Tots."
lwinmin's Ranking: 3
"Only 2 undefeated teams remain after 2 weeks of play. Man this is a competitive league. Scott's Tots remains atop the standings beside NotGreatBob. The wide receiver depth this team has is insane. Pickens, Wilson, Thomas, Aiyuk, Smith. It really isn't fair at all."
Fuzzy Logic (Slattery) [1-1]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 8
"Fuzzy Wuzzy Wuz a Bear, Fuzzy Wuzzy traded for Jacobs who isn't performing. Neither is Gibson, nor Hopkins or Toney.
Wasted a great game by what might be the TE 1 in Hockensen and having the Goats of Mahomes and Kelce. Can Fuzzy Wright the ship or will Fuzzy Wuzzy crash and burn?"
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 3
"Mahomes had himself another solid start and the team that features Kelce had a great game out of their TE, it just happened to be Hockenson. Josh Jacobs forgot how to play running back and Antonio Gibson might not be a suitable fantasy option. Hill, Kelce, and McLaurin had good games, but it wasn’t enough to help Fuzzy Logic take home the win. I wouldn’t be too worried about this team though as they should be putting up solid scores all year long, however they just happened to run into a juggernaut."
lwinmin's Ranking: 2
"The commish is 2nd in Points for right now and doing it on the backs of 2 TE's. Normally a strategy that I wouldn't recommend. However, his 2 TE's are Travis Kelce and TJ Hockenson. So you go commish. I BELIEVE. Josh Jacobs sucks, but hopefully not for long. This is a serious contender."
Las Vegas Scumdogs (grrouchie) [1-1]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 4
"Scumdogs didn't put up a top score this week but they did put the biggest beat down on 1-Putt. Jackson came alive finally, Conner ran to daylight, Jefferson continues to impress even though he is allergic to the end zone and rookie sensation Puka Nacua made up for Muth and Breece combining for less than 2 points. This team has the firepower to contend, but will they lack the consistency like they did last year?"
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 6
"The Scumdogs came out to play this week bouncing back from a poor week 1 showing. Lamar and Jefferson went out there and did their usual things. James Conner had a solid week along with Mixon’s mediocre output. I doubt Breece has a worse performance than his week 2 score of .9 points. At least the Scumdogs have found a gem in Puka who is seeing an outrageous number of targets. Jerome Ford is also waiting on the bench along with an IR squad that could dominate. Scumdogs will be scary when (if) they get fully healthy with Kyler, Diontae, and JT. I can see this team rise up the rankings in the coming weeks."
lwinmin's Ranking: 5
"The next 3-5 teams could all probably be arranged however you want. I'm putting Scumdogs here because of Lamar, Justin Jefferson, Breece Hall, and the most obvious guy... Poopy Nacua. The first 3 are obvious HIGH upside dudes. All 3 could be league winners. The 4th has come out of nowhere just like the mid day poop that hits right as a client walks in the door. Poopy is Cooper Kupps understudy and the connection between him and Stafford is beautiful. Scum should be very happy with his poopy."
PRESTIGE WORLDWIDE (lwinman) [1-1]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 3
"Prestige had Dak, Swift and Mostert carry the team to victory, each going over 20 points. Mattison could be an issue with Akers invading his personal space and Ridley followed up a dominant week 1 performance with a Dud week 2. Can Prestige do enough to stay ahead of the 1-1 log jam?"
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 5
"Popping off like this will definitely result in a higher ranking for week 2. Swift took advantage of Gainwell’s absence on Thursday night and looked like the guy everyone thought he would be in Detroit. Deebo will always put up a great game against the Rams and a TD almost seems inevitable. Mike Williams saw 13 targets and luckily DJ Moore saw more than 2 targets this week with 7. Both put up enough to help, but Raheem the Dream took over and put his 18 carries to good use. It looks like Dak has some competition with Russ on the bench breathing down his neck."
lwinmin's Ranking: 8
"The 4th highest Points for in the league, but I'm not sure if I'm buying it. Alexander Mattison is icky. Mostert and Mike Williams will both be injured soon. But Kareem Hunt is here to save the day. Oh boy this Running backs suck. Idk about this team. 8 Seems high."
codycast (codycast) [1-1]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 5
"With Ekeler and Wilson on the IR, last years golden child of scoring had to deal with Kelly and Sanders not putting up points. Higgins came back to life and Andrews, Adams and Kirk all showed signs of potential. This team is just a little too inconsistent right now to take the throne, but they are still ranked as a playoff contender."
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 7
"Codycast had a solid bounce back week. No Ekeler and no problem. The Burrow / Higgins stack helped propel this team to victory in week 2. Let’s hope that the Burrow injury isn’t long term and won’t have a major effect on the WRs production. TLaw decided to throw the ball to Christian Kirk finally and Davante Adams looked better. Mark Andrews will also help any lineup. The RBs aren’t looking too great, but there is definitely enough talent elsewhere to produce some wins throughout the year."
lwinmin's Ranking: 4
"IDK why but it is so hard for me to quit this team. 1-1 to start the season on the back of an injured Joe Burrow and running backs that don't perform. But it will have to take more than a bad game for me to give up on Codycast. His squad is solid and the guys on his roster are playing for more than just the regular season. Look for his guys to get better and better as the season goes along."
Get Out (Pads) [1-1]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 10
"Get Out is appropriate because this ship is sinking. Putting up an absolute dud on the score board and going under 90 points - Last years contender cannot get it together yet this year. Tua wasn't as explosive. Gallup giddey'd on outta town. Everett isn't highly involved. ET(ienne) phoned home and Gibbs is not living up to his draft capital. On paper Pads looks like they could give teams trouble but they are not gelling yet."
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 4
"The Tua / Waddle stack cooled down and no one really had a big boom. CMC did his usual thing with 20+ fantasy points yet again, but that was just about all there was. Etienne couldn’t get loose, and Gallup put up a dud. Montgomery going down is bittersweet because that is a valuable starter lost, but Gibbs should hopefully see an increase in production. Fingers crossed that Kupp is ready to go in a few weeks."
lwinmin's Ranking: 6
"Maybe I should have Pads higher, but it may be playing off of hope rather than logic. I want to see Tua be great. I want to see Miami succeed. Same with Montgomery and Gibbs in Detroit. He just has a lot of guys who I believe in and want to see do well. I'm putting him here at 6 today, but Montgomery being out is going to hurt. However Watson may be back this week and we could see this team jump up into the top 5 in week 4."
Dirty Mike & The Boys (HartyPGA) [1-1]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 7
"A Hard fought game and a loss by less than a point. Dirty Mike and the IR squad have a Chubb issue after having a Dobbins issue last week. The question is will this team cave to the pressure of the season ending injuries or can they find a way to fight through it and keep competing. Next week is not looking good as ARich is also going to be taking the game off after getting his bell rung. Dirty Mike is going to have to have stellar games by the real B Rob, London, Godwin, Laporta and the emerging Nico Collins - plus a few other surprise contributors. Will they still contend or is losing two legs this season too much?"
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 8
"Dirty Mike & The Boys had a respectable week but were on the wrong side of the closest matchup this week. Last week it was JK, this week it was Nick Chubb, should we wrap Bijan in bubble wrap now? AJ Dillon just became the RB2 on this team and there isn’t much to speak of after that. If London sees 7 targets a week and Sam LaPorta can be a productive rookie TE, then Dirty Mike might be able to overlook these injuries to key players. Dotson needs to step his game up because The Boys need him to produce."
lwinmin's Ranking: 9
"Anthony Richardson looks legit and Nico Collins is balling out. However, if this team wants to keep winning the Falcons will need to keep producing. Bijan is gonna be solid every week. I could see London being a nightmare to play week in and week out, but what player isn't? Hopefully we see Laporta start to come alive for Detroit."
ScotchnWhiskers (mark2law) [1-1]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 9
"A good effort, but it wasn't enough as his opponent was on fire. Hurts continues to impress but this was a very down week by his WR crew. One cannot accept sub 10 point games from Flowers, Brown, and Bourne all in the same week.
However, the potential to have a breakout RB in Williams is exciting and maybe what he needs to combine with King Henry to start plowing away to victories."
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 9
"A respectable week that had to go up against one of the highest scoring teams of the week. Is there a dispute between Jalen and AJ that’s going to have an effect on the stack? Hurts had a great week, but AJ only had 3 receptions for 29 yards. Henry was good but not great and DK couldn’t take any TDs away from Lockett. Kyren Williams looks to be a fantasy darling this year and will hopefully be a great boost to this lineup going forward. Zay seems to be ready for a year full of production. Scotchn might need to pour himself a few drinks if the team becomes desperate enough to play Allen Robinson."
lwinmin's Ranking: 7
"Just under 200 points on the season, but ScotchnWhiskers shouldn't be discouraged. Zay Flowers and Kyren Williams have both proven to be staples in their starting lineup. Sky Moore and Allgeier prove to be promising as well. I'm not sure if these are the guys that he would have thought he'd be depending on to start the season, but they are here and they are making noise."
ShivaBlasts (jwv7244) [1-1]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 6
"Shiva came to play and SMACKED DOWN Dirty Mike and the Boys by... well, by less than a point. But a win is a win and Shiva is showing some grit. Watson is still not quite ready for Prime Time but Kenny Walker, The Silence of the Lambs, White and Addison are all young players putting up good points. Unfortunately te #2 Johnson and potential late season stud Johnson were holding back a truly explosive score this week. Lets Go SHIVA!!! I love watching this team succeed after last year."
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 10
"Shiva blasts his way to victory with a narrow victory in week 2. Rachaad White didn’t look like *insert poop emoji* this week and was able to score a TD. Jordan Addison looks like he will catch a long bomb TD every week and CeeDee returned to form catching 11 of 13 targets. Walker scored a couple of times as TDs was a common thing amongst the ShivaBlasts. It’s sounding like Roschon will eventually take over the RB1 in Chicago. CJ Stroud was just chilling on the bench with his 384 yards and 3 total TDs. Could he be a valuable dynasty asset that puts up big numbers?"
lwinmin's Ranking: 10
"ShivaBlasts had a solid game in week 2 after a disappointing week 1. This team may have more juice than I realized. Tutu Atwell has been awesome to start this season. Roschon may have a larger role than originally expected. Addison scores every week and Darren Waller is finally being utilized. I could see Shiva jumping up a few spots here soon."
Delta Squad (OneTyrell) [0-2]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 11
"It could get uglier for the Delta Squad before it gets better. Najee looks old and slow this year. TLaw looks elite on some throws and like Justin Fields on others. Barkley was having a great game but now he is back to his ankle rolling ways and going to miss some time. Lets hope it's not a high ankle sprain and slow him down for the season. The Sun God might have Turf Toe which could be problematic for multiple games. Brandon Cooks didn't even suit up, Kyle Pitts needs to be benched even though he, in theory, is amazing. Plug the holes, this ship is sinking."
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 11
"The Delta Squad is unfortunately one of two teams that will be winless through 2 weeks. A team that decided to either pop off or stay home. TLaw, Najee, Cooks, and Pitts all put up duds. The ghost of Adam Thielen along with Tony Pollard and James Cook had big workloads and put up solid production. I hate to play that game but…a Kirk Cousins start would have gotten this squad the dub this week. Let’s just hope that the Saquon injury is day-to-day and not week-to-week. Delta Squad is looking to get their first win next week."
lwinmin's Ranking: 11
"Boy do I wish Kyle Pitts would be used in Atlanta and I guarantee Delta Squad wishes the same. Relying on Ezekiel Elliott cannot be fun either. Losing Saquon has to hurt, but I still believe in the talent of this team despite having the 2nd lowest PF in the league. Don't let that be discouraging though. Because they are only 25 points away from being the 4th highest in the league."
1-Putt Nine (GhostDad77) [0-2]
Grrouchie's Ranking: 12
"No wins. The lowest scoring team after two weeks. This team is bi-polar. On paper I'm like 'man, this could be fun', but in practice I'm like 'oh please stop the bleeding.'
Pacheco hasn't hit his power up yet. Pierce is running into brick wall after brick wall. Zay Jones couldn't catch any of his 6 targets. Go-Eat-Dirt caught 6 of his 7 targets but for only 22 yards? Musgrave? Moore? Downs? The bench is not giving me reason to be hopeful right now. 1-putt going to have to get out their Irons and try to brute force their way to a victory."
BaileyOwen's Ranking: 12
"Rumor has it 1-Putt Nine had a closed-door meeting led by GhostDad after this performance. Justin Herbert outperformed his expectations. Gabe Davis decided to be the babe this week catching 6 passes and finding the endzone. Unfortunately, there are too many duds from the rest of the squad. Spot Start Zay was catchless on 6 targets and Goedert couldn’t do anything with his 6 catches on 7 targets. A rookie TE in the flex spot isn’t a pleasant sight, but there aren’t many other options for GhostDad to look towards."
lwinmin's Ranking: 12
"GhostDad is still looking for their first win on the season. Hodgins, Downs, Eli Moore, and Gabe Davis will all need to step up in major ways if Ghost wants to compete. Maybe they could be stacking up some draft picks here soon?"
