2022 Week 8 Rankings

Pads (Pads) [8-0]

Change From Last Week: +1

Slattery's Ranking: 1

"Pads apparently took offense to last week's ranking and made it their mission to prove the haters wrong, and boy did he prove the haters wrong. Still, the next two weeks will continue the gauntlet of matchups for Pads, but all signs point to this team will be fine."

Grrouchie's Ranking: 1

"Last week was a mistake. Pads never should have left the number one spot.  8-0 with that Tua to Waddle connection. Doesn't hurt that CMC went nuclear, Etienne ran to daylight and the rest of the crew was all around great. Pads made a statement this week and that statement was that we were wrong last week.

My apologies."

codycast (codycast) [5-3]

Change From Last Week: -1

Slattery's Ranking: 3

"This week's loss can probably solely be blamed on Davante Adams. If Adams had put up a week like he's known for, none of this would have happened. Even so, this is the roster that has the most potential in the league, coaching just has to be better."

Grrouchie's Ranking: 2

"Dropping one spot after a loss, Codycast might have just needed the week off to rest.

Mark Andrews had a boo-boo and let the rookie play instead. Gus Edwards continues to be banged up (he is a Ravens RB, that is what they do). Davante Adams put up less than a point somehow? Was this week just a random swing and a miss or is this a disturbing trending for team Codycast?"

Fuzzy Logic (Slattery) [5-3]

Change From Last Week: +1

Slattery's Ranking: 2

"Am I biased in this ranking? Yes. Does it matter? Not really, because THE UPSET HAPPENED. And with a team of JAG's at some key positions, too. This might be the highest Fuzzy Logic gets all year, but anything is possible."

Grrouchie's Ranking: 3

"Fuzzy Logic is taking my 3rd spot even though you could put the #4 team here as well. Fuzzy went up against a nigh unstoppable freight train and Put Cody Cast in their place. Fields and Foreman both took off and are forming a new rap group, the F&F Fantasy Points Factory.

This coming week is going to be a big one because Fuzzy is fighting to find out which Commish reigns supreme! Can Fuzzy make a push to be #2, or will they come out smelling like #2 after their next game?"

PRESTIGE WORLDWIDE (lwinman) [5-3]

Change From Last Week: +1

Slattery's Ranking: 4

"Statement win by Prestige Worldwide this week, and was done without arguably this team's best two players. Once Deebo and Kelce are back, this team is going to feast."

Grrouchie's Ranking: 4

"Prestige stormed into the game against the Scumdogs and took no prisoners. Prescott looks like he is back to form from a couple years ago.  DJ Moore lived up to his talent for once and Jones, Jeudy and Engram played clean up.  All this and they were without Kelce and Deebo."

Scumdogs (grrouchie) [5-3]

Change From Last Week: -2

Slattery's Ranking: 6

"This team definitely gave it their best. Scoring 2 points less than max potential points on the week is very impressive. What's not as impressive is having a near perfect lineup and not securing the win. Luckily, Scumdogs has the reputation this season of overcoming these low points, so it should be okay in the end."

Grrouchie's Ranking: 5

"The Scumdogs took a tumble and fell two spots after their loss to Prestige. The Kyler to Rondale connection was strong and put up a lot of points, but it's hard to win when 4 teammates put up less than 10 points. It was a close game, but the Scumdogs could not close it out.

In preparation for their big game against Fuzzy Logic the Scumdogs went trade happy and made a number of moves to help strengthen them for the rest of the season and hopefully the playoffs!"

ScotchnWhiskers (mark2law) [4-4]

Change From Last Week: +3

Slattery's Ranking: 5

"WHAT. A. GAME. Almost every single player on this roster exploded, and even the ones that didn't explode still beat expectations. With this amount of upside, everyone has to be very afraid when ScotchnWhiskers is on the other side of the field."

Grrouchie's Ranking: 6

"ScotchnWhiskers came out and made a statement with the highest score of the week. Hurts to AJ Brown for 3 TDS would be enough to beat most people but then throw in Henry over 35 and Dalvin cook over 22 and no one was slowing them down this week. With a 4-4 record and currently looking at the Playoffs, this team made a statement that everyone needs to be careful as they jumped up another spot in my rankings."

1-Putt Nine (GhostDad77) [4-4]

Change From Last Week: +1

Slattery's Ranking: 7

"Nick Chubb is so freaking good a football, and 1-Putt Nine must be so freaking happy that Nick Chubb is on their roster. Without Chubb, I doubt this team would be fighting for a wild card spot, but here we are. As long as the rest of the roster keeps up the momentum, it should be an interesting race over the next few weeks."

Grrouchie's Ranking: 7

"With a win over the Delta Squad (2 wins in a row), 1-Putt made a statement that they are not out yet. Geno Smith and Nick Chubb led the way with dominating performances. Jacoby Meyers showed that he is happy to have Mac Jones throwing him the ball again and the rook, Pierce, had another solid game. 1-Putt is 4-4 and still in the playoff hunt."

Michael Scott's Tots (BaileyOwen) [4-4]

Change From Last Week: -2

Slattery's Ranking: 8

"It's hard to call a win disappointing, but that's exactly what Michael Scott's Tots is going through right now. Almost everyone in this lineup failed to meet expectations this week, and with this team's next opponent blowing up for nearly 200 points, I bet BaileyOwen is scrambling to figure out a plan."

Grrouchie's Ranking: 8

"Coming off a win and tied with the 6th and 7th teams with a 4-4 record, the Tots find themselves in the 8 spot in my rankings on the basis that their win was the least impressive. Scoring a measly 85 points and beating one of only 2 teams they could have beaten this week, the Tots did not do themselves any favors.

They are still in the playoff race with the Joshes but they can't have more performances like this one."

Delta Squad (OneTyrell) [3-5]

Change From Last Week: -2

Slattery's Ranking: 10

"Unfortunate loss this week, especially after loosing Breece Lightning for the season. On the plus side, at least Pitts looked like a star for a game. Maybe Pitts can take that lightning that Breece had and allow this team to thrive again."

Grrouchie's Ranking: 9

"The Delta Squad played a tight game against 1-Putt but their star power took the week off.

Surprisingly Pitts finally put up a good game but subpar outputs from Najee and TLaw did them no justice. They are going to have to perform better to get back on track if they think they will make a playoff push."

NotGreatBob (NotGreatBob) [3-5]

Change From Last Week: =0

Slattery's Ranking: 9

"Sometimes Fantasy Football just is not great. It's super unfortunate that NotGreatBob ran into the buzz saw known as Pads when multiple members of this team blew up with week-winning performances. On the plus side, NotGreatBob probably would have won against (nearly) every other opponent."

Grrouchie's Ranking: 10

"NotGreatBob got destroyed by Pads even though they put up the 4th highest score on the week. Then in a fit of range the owner went out and sold some high powered pieces to the Scumdogs to acquire Chase. Jonathan Taylor, Tony Pollard, and Alvin Kamara got the boot but were put into a position to capture a championship while Chase will be an amazing building block for years to come.

Now they just need to focus on getting healthy and bring Brady back for his 47th season."

ShivaBlasts (jwv7244) [1-7]

Change From Last Week: =0

Slattery's Ranking: 11

"This team came back down to Earth a bit this week. Certain young members of this team are starting to shine, though. One solid draft in the offseason, and this team could be making lots of noise."

Grrouchie's Ranking: 11

"Shiva got Blasted by the highest scoring team on the week.  Hurts, AJ Brown and Henry alone scored enough points to beat Shiva.

After the game they traded Weird Al Dulcich to the Scumdogs for a future first and off loaded a couple other players for some picks to help with their rebuild.

Coming to a playoff near you in 2025, The SHIVABLASTS!!!"

Dirty Mike & The Boys (Magnum1Delta) [1-7]

Change From Last Week: =0

Slattery's Ranking: 12

"What a stinker of a game. Outside of Mooney, not a single person on this roster met expectations. One has to wonder if Dirty Mike will be having a fire sale on his boys soon."

Grrouchie's Ranking: 12

"When Chris Godwin is the ONLY player who scores over 10 points for the entire week, you know things didn't turn out so well. These young WRs need to keep practicing and get better because they have the skillset to become and Elite force. Davis, Robinson, Mooney, London, and Godwin could become a dominant force in a year or two.

Or, we could enter World War 3 and Dirty Mike will have to send his Boys into the dark zone to take out Russian operatives! Coin-Flip really."
